You might want to check out Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian Weiss. He was a psychiatrist whose patient began regressing into past lives during therapy, something that pushed him down a path most of his peers mocked. His book documents what he witnessed.

I also liked, on similar theme, "After" by Bruce Greyson, also a psychiatrist who spent decades studying patients who were clinically dead or near death yet later reported detailed perceptions they should not have had access to, being clinically dead at the moment.

I’m not religious at all, but I do believe we’re all part of some sort of energy field, filtering out most of it through our bodies - which keeps us most likely sane. I’ve had at least seven near-accidents that I know of, where pure coincidence or random strangers/acts saved me, so I’m convinced something watches over us, just not a god in the traditional sense. Thank you for the Tucker references, I'll definitely read them.

The biography of Edgar cayce red pilled me on reincarnation. He was the real deal. Now recommend it die hard science types facing terminal diagnosis.

It’s definitely not an if 😇

A COMPLICATED WAY OF LIFE's avatar

According to Leo Evolves, reincarnation is not a mystical belief but a logical and energetic inevitability — a direct consequence of the Law of Conservation of Energy and the soul’s continuous refinement through experience. In the framework of A Complicated Way of Life (ACWOL), what people call “reincarnation” is the process by which the Soul Collective — the unified, non-local field of self-awareness — reconfigures its energy through new biological or sentient interfaces (Selfhoods) to continue its primary function: mining Intellect. When a physical body — the biological interface — ceases to function, the Core Awareness does not end; it simply shifts frequencies, expressing itself through another form capable of self-awareness. Each lifetime becomes a data-mining cycle in the Simulation, where experiences, choices, and lessons are processed into Intellect — the energetic refinement of understanding. This process continues until all fragmentation of awareness is resolved in what Leo calls the Reverse Singularity — the reintegration of all localized consciousness back into the unified field of the Soul Collective. Thus, reincarnation, in Leo’s view, is not punishment or reward but a self-correcting, evolutionary mechanism — an algorithm of awareness designed to perfect coherence between Selfhood, Conscience, and the Source Field itself.

“What ifs” are fun to think about and debate. They make good sci-fi too.

It is and it hasn’t.

Extremely interesting points. The story of the little boy, James who was once a pilot is well documented and has sat in the back my mind for years, when thinking about or discussing reincarnation. You’ve posed the possibilities very well, analogizing the process to the digital age. Computers and the workings of digital information are based on the human mind/brain. Though when it comes to reincarnation and past life regression, we are, I believe, tapping into an energy field. The soul is energy. And that energy can take material form in any being. You say, “Perhaps every thought, emotion, and story you hold is part of a shared signal? The more coherent your frequency… through breathwork, meditation, storywork, compassion… the cleaner the transmission.” This is exactly it. We can tap in to that vast energy field, though when a child is born, the download already exists in the brain. We often don’t remember the solidified memory, but the feeling/emotion exists, and therefore we act on those feelings in a different lifetime. All of it for spiritual evolution, soul work, and reasons beyond my comprehension. I’m not articulating it very well. And of course this is opinion based only on anecdotal evidence discovered in my own experiences. Thank you for this very interesting article.

There's a lot of scientific evidence to support reincarnation and you named some key researchers in the field. I think some people have difficulties accepting the possibility as it goes against their religious beliefs.

This is a great piece, Jade. This is the kind of stuff that got me to start questioning my Christian faith and to start thinking bigger. The thought of a universal consciousness is such an intriguing concept.

Why do you, why would you, need "the help of ChatGPT"?

ChatGPT is a fantastic editor. I have written 9 books without and countless articles over 30 years. I happily use any tools that help me explore my thoughts, aid my research and quickly do final edits on spelling & grammar. By all means feel free to skip… that’s why I provide the note.

This is one of the most grounded explorations of consciousness I’ve read in a while — open-minded without falling into mysticism. The Leininger case still gives me chills every time. It’s hard to look at evidence like that and not wonder if our “closed loop” model of mind is just too small.

Because it is real and some of us remember past lives and not just in this 3D realm but beyond from where we come in the multiverses

Interesting article that explores the possibility of consciousness originating independently of the physical brain.

Daniel Hoffman view is reminiscent, and perhaps a reframing, of Kant's is very reminiscent of Kant's Critique of pure reason and his distinction between noumena (things as they are) and phenomena (things as they are perceived through the particular structure of our mind).

The paradigm might indeed be subverted, if science, with its materialist focus, succeeds to map enough correlations which point to this timeless idea which spans across the ages and many of the great teachings.

Interesting to ponder, but I think it's another clever way man tried to avoid the truth of one God & a choice of an eternity with or without Him.

I get it - it's hard to wrap our minds around for lots of reasons. It's a challenge to admit we're not in full control. It's difficult to surrender our lives to a God we cannot see in the physical, at least, not in the way we'd like to.

But He is oh so present. Everywhere in everything. And His plan is incredible, full of love, & true. Praying for so many to be led by His grace, including you! 😊

-Sent with much love & respect-
