Reality Has Layers—Don't Get Trapped in Just One
How to Unlock Dimensional Consciousness and Free Yourself from a Limited Life
Understanding Dimensions & The Multiverse
I've always struggled to wrap my head around the idea of other dimensions. Honestly, I still feel like the idea is more science fiction than science reality.
Imagining entire realms of existence, invisible universes stacked neatly alongside our own, always felt just out of reach, almost impossible to fully grasp. Yet, one persistent question began tugging at me:
If we can only perceive such a minuscule slice of reality, how can we confidently claim that this is all there is?
That question sparked a journey into an exploration of dimensions and what they could represent. In this article, I want to share with you what I've uncovered—and the intriguing possibility of what many now call a "Multiverse."
The Big Idea
We perceive just 0.035% of the electromagnetic spectrum. Let that sink in—99.9% of reality is invisible to the naked eye. Infrared, ultraviolet, radio waves, gamma rays, x-rays, microwaves: it’s all there, yet beyond our grasp.
If our perception is this limited, how many other dimensions might we be blind to?
Exploring this idea blends science, philosophy, and deep personal awakening.
The Breakdown
Scientific Reality Check
According to M-theory—the leading framework in string theory—reality isn’t particles but vibrating strings. Tiny, energetic filaments vibrate at specific frequencies, manifesting as electrons, photons, and quarks.
To mathematically resolve string theory, physicists require ten spatial dimensions. Edward Witten added an eleventh dimension—a cosmic membrane, or "brane," upon which other dimensions exist side-by-side like pages in an infinite cosmic book.
Some physicists even theorize gravity leaks across these hidden dimensions, possibly explaining why gravity is mysteriously weaker compared to other fundamental forces. Dark matter might simply be evidence of these unseen universes—what physicist Michio Kaku describes as "dimensional blind spots."
But what does this mean practically? How can we understand these abstract dimensions? Let’s explore these dimensions metaphorically through a being named Maya, who begins her journey as a two-dimensional fish.
Maya’s Dimensional Journey
Dimension 3D - The Emergence of Depth
In her two-dimensional pond, Maya would perceive life as flat—only forward, backward, left, and right. Yet, sensing something beyond, she would move upward, breaking the water's surface and entering a new dimension—land.
Here, Maya would experience depth, solidity, and space. She would begin to perceive length, width, and height.
Dimension 4D - The Timewalker
In this dimension, Maya would begin perceiving time as a navigable landscape rather than a linear progression. She would have the ability to revisit memories vividly and see future possibilities clearly.
Imagine in your own life if you could rewind to that grade-school incident, or fast-forward to see how that business venture worked out?
Scientifically, 4D introduces "spacetime," merging time with spatial dimensions. Spiritually, it symbolizes conscious non-linear perception of time.
Dimension 5D - The Book of Life
Here, Maya would perceive her entire life simultaneously as a cohesive story. Rather than experiencing events sequentially, she could understand their interconnected meaning instantly.
This idea intrigues me. If we look at our lifetime as a book, this reality would allow us to understand it all at once and perhaps choose to jump in and “reread” or “re-experience” certain elements of the book.
5D represents a profound, holistic view of one's life narrative—offering deep insight and understanding.
Dimension 6D - Infinite Forking Paths
In the sixth dimension, Maya would sense alternate realities branching from every choice she made. She would become aware of parallel lives, each existing concurrently, deeply feeling each possibility.
This would be like one of those “choose your own adventure” books. If we were beings occupying this dimension it would be like trying on different choices. Remember that pivotal break-up? What if you would have stayed? What about that job opportunity. What if you turned it down and traveled the world for two years instead? Rather than one lifetime of experience you could experience all possible paths you could have traveled?
Scientifically, 6D aligns with quantum mechanics' many-worlds interpretation. Metaphorically, it provides intuitive insight into life's potential paths.
Dimension 7D - Shifting Origins
Here, Maya would perceive different beginnings—alternate circumstances, families, and identities. She would understand identity as fluid, shaped significantly by initial conditions and contexts.
This one would allow us to choose different parents, be born in a different country or city and maybe even change our gender or race. From the 7D persepctive we would be able to know and understand ourselves from the perspective of different individuals and conditions.
7D expands consciousness beyond individual timelines, promoting empathy and understanding of diverse life circumstances.
Dimension 8D - The Library of Meaning
Maya would experience infinite life stories, seeing deeper patterns and resonances connecting all possibilities. She would begin to choose consciously, driven by profound purpose rather than randomness.
In 8D it would seem as if we had a library of understanding of all peoples and possibilities and see the full meaning and connection of how all of this came together to make sense. We would be able to see the meaning in the chaos and how each individual contributed meaning tot he whole.
8D is the dimension of overarching meaning, intuitive guidance, and profound synchronicity.
Dimension 9D - The Ruleless Realm
In the ninth dimension, Maya would perceive fundamental laws of reality dissolving. She might experience gravity reversing, cause following effect, and logic breaking down. She would learn to adapt and flow with uncertainty effortlessly.
This one baffles me a bit. Imagine different worlds with different fundamental laws. Imagine being able to experience life with different fundamental governing rules.
Scientifically, 9D suggests realms where physics could drastically differ. Spiritually, it symbolizes the co-creative embrace of uncertainty and potential.
Dimension 10D - The Dreammaker
Here, Maya would embody the role of a creator. Reality would no longer be something she merely experienced but something she actively authored. Each thought, intention, and desire could manifest directly.
Here we would be like gods. We would be able to construct whole worlds with different rules. Entire realms of possibility. Instant manifestation. Pure imagination solidifying into reality.
10D is source consciousness, embodying creative power and radical responsibility for reality.
Dimension 11D - The Silence Beneath All Things
Finally, Maya would merge into pure awareness. No individual identity, only boundless, timeless unity—the foundational dimension beneath all others.
Here we would be no person, in no place, without time. We would be floating in a see of pure potential and all possibility.
Scientifically, 11D is the theoretical unified field underlying reality. Spiritually, it is ultimate unity consciousness or the Source from which all emerges. Perhaps this is what we might call God.
Practical Takeaway
Now I know this might seem crazy, but these dimensions can be played with in your mind. As I was writing this article I had a thought— if we can think of these dimensions perhaps that is proof they exist?
Think about it. We can go back in our minds and revisit our past and change it. We can imagine fast-forwarding (is that a word?) to meet our future self and dailogue with them. In fact, in my work with next level human, we do this all the time in our meditations and transformation techniques. This is why we call it “dimensionalized consciousness.”
Dimensions represent levels of consciousness that you can explore through imagination, introspection and visualization. We combine these with meditation, breathwork and transformational prompts that help alter the unconscious holding patterns that keep us stuck. Perhaps in these “mental exercises” and altered states of consciousness we are literally visiting these other dimensions. Hmmm, I wonder?
Closing Thought
Every moment you wonder "is there more?" you glimpse through the cracks of your dimensional limits. Maya’s journey symbolizes your potential awakening. You’re not stuck—you’re evolving dimensionally.

I love this subject and the way you are describing the dimensions. It started to make sense to me when I was dissolving in a mediation and felt connected to every atom that exists, has been existing and will ever exists. So if these dimensions can disappear or are anyway not real, what else is there we don’t know because we haven’t experienced it yet or could not measure it.
Ohh... extremely fascinating and thought provoking... I felt energetic resonance as I read your words... definitely need to re-read and ponder more deeply. Thank you for sharing!
